Dear Classmates,

Organizing and coordinating the Class of 1968 Reunion Fiesta was a privilege and honor for me. It took me many, many years to realize that I missed something special by not going through the rites-of-passage that is high school senior year. At our reunion, you all made it abundantly clear that I was fully a part of the Senior Class of 68. The empty place in my heart has been joyously filled.

This website is a tribute to all of us for reconnecting with each other. In particular, tremendous thanks goes to Jeff and Christine King for being such a vital part of the planning and execution of the Fiesta. Your commemorative gifts will be remembered and treasured. What a great idea to ask us for updated bios! They added to our understanding of each other. Finding El Meson de Pepe was a brilliant find - adding the perfect Sabor Latino for the weekend. Que Viva El Kiosko!

Leigh Sperling captured the essence of Senior Year in her marvelously edited El Flamboyan Yearbook. Scanning the yearbook pictures for inclusion in this site was a powerful visual and emotional reminder of 1968 for me, the year I missed. You captured us at our Robinson best. Leigh, I'm wearing your Fiesta T-shirt as I write. Thank you.

I'm especially gratified that so many of our class traveled all the way to Key West. Sherman, Cherie, John, Laurette, Paul, Angel, Linda and Madeline: You all had issues that could easily have kept you from attending, and yet you came. You have reaffirmed our connections to each other.

. . . it's like we never left Robinson. The years melted away and I felt 17 again. Let's never get old.

Lorenzo
Thank you all for your wonderful photos. Enjoy reliving the Fiesta weekend.
